Geometry Story or Poem

Write an interesting story or poem about Geometry. Please be creative and make it as interesting as possible. It could be a fictional story. There is NO paragraph requirement and you do not have to respond to another student. However, I will be grading on creativeness. Is this a story that you thoughtlessly put together or was there some genuine creativity in this story?

On a given Line
Which must no way incline;
That Ab is half of AC.
For that i must agree.
That the angle is thrity degrees.
When I use my compass.
you are going to need to watch this. I a great Mathematician always makes this Requisition.
1 is congruent to 2
is that statement false or true?
What is the length of that side?
To find the median add then divide.
Geometry is a really good guide.
It's been taken worldwide.
Cause everyone knows whats angle, side, side. Geometry is a really cool ride. With the twists and the turns. Sometimes geometry burns but, in return you learn! For the greatest math subject always have respect!

Timmy the quadrilateral was very sad. "I'm So square!" he thought to himself. He was convinced he was boring. So, he went to visit the Triangles one day. He asked Tod the Traingle "Tod, do think i'm Boring?" "Yes, i also think your breath smells like a dieing cat." he responded. And Timmy was sad. :( So he went to see Penny the Pentagon. "Penny am I boring?" he asked. Penny chuckled and said "STOP talking to me you square." and Timmy was sad. So he went to the Iscoceles ice cream parlor with a sad look on his face. So, Chuck Norris the octagon came up to him and asked."Timmy, dude, whats wrong?". "IM SO SQUARE!" he responded. Chuck laughed and began to tell him all the great things that squares do. He explained that he's much cooler than any boring Pentagon and that if it werent for squares who would hold triangular Pizzas and what shape would our Flags be?! So Timmy the square began to smile and he was happy. He later won the lottery 3 times and Got lots of Hott quadrilateral girlfriends. The triangles and pentagons who later became poor, smelly and not as cool and awesome as he is then became very sad at how stupid they were.

Geometry can be used in many ways,
It can get you thinking for countless days.
Geometry can possibly be fun,
But possibly boring for some.
One problem can get you thinking,
And keep you glued to a question and not blinking.
There are so many theorems and rules,
That are used in so many schools.
Many pencils and erasers are used,
Because equations are often misused.
You look through all your books and study,
And ask help from a class buddy.
You may not understand because during class you talk,
So you never look up at the teacher with chalk.
You can try and try,
Because you keep asking yourself, “Why?”
Through the day you put up a fight,
But you finally get the answer right.

Geometry is full of many things. Lines, planes, medians. So much cramming. We have lines, sides, and triangles. We have acute obtuse and right. This stuff really isn't that light. It makes you work and it makes you see. That geoemtry is somethinf for you and me

Even though geometry can be a pain. We make it through by learning something new. We know how to make proofs, congruent triangles, and much more. The postulates and theroms that we still try to remember. There are parallel lines and planes that we know and other things. The midpoint therom that we have gone over and over. Quadrilaterals that we know how to prove they are parallelograms. Even though geometry can be a pain we will make it though with flying colors.

In response to Francisco. Your story was really funny and good. It shows that squares can be a paralelogram in any which way. I think Francisco did a really good job with his story.

Once a upon a time, there lived a boy named Geo. As he grew up, people made fun of his name. As he reached high school, he began to like geometry. He understood it so well that in his spare time he would do geometry problems. One day he was walking in the beautiful forest and he stumbled across a squirrel. The squirrel asked him “Do you know what a square is?” The boy answered, “Yes, I do, a square is a 4-side figure with four right angles and four congruent sides. The squirrel said “Yeah thank you for your help”.
Geo kept walking and then saw a fox that looked like he was working on some geometry problems. Geo asked the fox “Excuse me do you need any help solving those equations?”
The fox said, “Indeed yes I do”. The equation is 2x+4=3x-12. The first step you do is minus 2x to both sides and then you do plus 12 to both sides. So then x=26. The fox was so happy that Geo helped him. The fox thanked Geo by giving him delicious food for his walk home. Geo said to the fox “Why thank you very much for the food, I will come visit you soon”. So the boy kept walking in the beautiful forest. He thought about the squirrel and fox that he helped. He thought to himself that he should volunteer his time with helping people with geometry. Geo read a sign that read “1 mile more until Bloom town”. He was so excited that he was almost home. Geo bumped into a turtle that was having trouble finding the value of a triangle that had one angle measure of 60 degrees. The turtle needed help with finding the two missing angle measures. Geo told the turtle, “First we have to do 180 minus 60. Then we get 120. Now we need to divide 120 by 2 and we get 60. To check your answer you add 60+60+60=180. So the 2 missing angles are both 60 degrees. The turtle thanked Geo and the turtle went back to his friends to tell them that he got help with the geometry problem. Geo felt good inside that he helped three people on his way home. He knew that helping them was a good deed that he did and that made him proud. When Geo got home, he told his mom of what he did. His mom was so proud of him. The next day at school he told his teacher that he wanted to help the kids that struggled with geometry. His teacher said, “Geo, yes of course you can teach those kids that need help in Geometry. That would be a very nice thing to do”. Geo also continued to visit and help the squirrel, fox, and turtle. Geo started helping the kids and they began to understand geometry more. God gave Geo this talent to share it with everyone and that’s exactly what he did.

Once upon a time, there were 2 big trucks, twins, named Postulate and Theorem. They lived in harmony with their neighbors;Troyangle, Squaurban, Izucoles, and Sequoegment. One day, Postulate stated: "I think this would be a great time to go and chat with our friends, don't you think Theorem?" Theorem replied "Oh yes, I'm sure the others would love company". So the two went off to see their friends. When they got to their usual hangout spot though, no one was there. "That's strange Postulate, everyone's always here". Theorem was very suspicious of this and he started to look around the area very carefully. He soon discovered a clue: four perpendicular tire tracks going in different directions. "That's odd" Theorem thought to himself,"Why would the tracks be going perpen. and not all straight, like parallels?" He called his brother and each went the opposite direction. Soon enough, Postulate was lead to a giant tilting house that looked like a parallelogram. He caustiosly approched it, got to the door, opened it, and went in. A long while later, Theorem came to the same place. "Quivering quadrilaterals!!" he exclaimed at the sight of the house, which had tilted forward. He called out, but no response. He got closer.....and then.....WHAMM!!!! A thick square-shaped tile smacked him in the head and he fell backwards. His brother was heard from inside the parallelogram shouting "Let's go! I found an exit!" Postulate jumped out and so did all his friends. Everyone was glad to be out. Postulate noticed his unconsious bro and ran over to him. "Theorem, Theorem!!" he shouted. But Theorem was out cold until Postulate started to turn away. "Pos... tu...late..." Theorem tried to talk but found it difficult. "Theorem!!! You're alive!!!" Postulate happily announced. He ran over to his brother and tried to stand him. However, the moment Postulate got close to Theo.,Theorem grabbed him by the neck, pulled him down and angrily grumbled " The next time you try to escape a place with square tiles in it by punching one through the wall, give me a head's up!!!! Those things aren't feather-light you know!!!" Stumblingly, Theorem managed to stand and watch the house do something very strange just in time. The house turned into a big, puffy, cloud-like figure with almost no shape. It boomed in a harsh voice "I need a shape or more. Please help me" Postulate and Theorem looked at eachother, at their friends and back. "I'm not sure about the certain shapes you can take on or what for." said Postulate. "How about you make yourself into a rocket with lots of segments? That would be cool." Seqouegment replied. Squarurban added" What if you add some square designs to it and a square base pad? It would be great." The cloud began to swirl and twist into the new design. "Ohohoh, how about putting some isosceles figures on and around you, like two wings for example? I would really enjoy that!" exclaimed Izucoles. The cloud swirled even faster with delight. "Mabye a triangular top for the rocket and even boosters like that." said Troyangle. Finally, the cloud stretched out and formed the entire new shape. It looked awesome. Everyone cheered and the "cloud-rocket" beamed with delight. "Thank you truly. If it wasn't for your geometry skills, I would have never done this." the cloud beamed. Then, Theorem came up to the rocket and asked "What was with the tire tracks in our neighborhood? Did you do that?" "No" replied the rocket, " I stunned them and dragged them over here. Don't know why though." Postulate then happily shouted " Because you were being square and not fair!" "Yes" the rocket replied "I was indeed being square.. but I'm not anymore thanks to all of you." They all stayed together, then left for the night. While the duo were walking home, Postulate tapped his bro on the shoulder in a questioning way. "Were we supposed to learn something today?" asked Postulate. Theorem replied wisely " I don't know for sure, but one thing is for sure." "What Theorem?" " That cloud taught me a lesson. BE FAIR, NOT SQUARE!" Postulate and Theorem laughed all the way home. Nobody knows what happened to any of them after that but then again, this is a legend. A LEGEND OF GEOMETRY.....

THE END!! =3

geometry can get me pretty upset,
but when i know it, good grades are my best bet.
postulates, theorems, and definitions too,
proofs are one of the hardest things to do.
using a trapezoid, triangle, rectangle, or square,
sometimes geometry just doesn't seem fair.
once you warm up to it, its not so bad,
but having to do homework can get me mad.
for some people, its not too tough,
but as for me, it gets a little rough.

Their was a boy named freddy. But everybody called him freddy the star. Freddy the star was a happy star in his village called tri-line village. Where all the triangles and lines lived happily together. But Freddy's was adopted and his mom and dad where triangles, but every christmas Freddy felt left out because all the baby triangles and lines had fun and laughed together and enjoyed Christmas with their parents. But Freddy didnt fell so confortable because he never knew who his real parents where. So Freddy the star decided to run away he walked and walked until he met a square and he said wow what is your name i have never seen such a figure. The square said my name is Crazy George. So Freddy said i understand George but you dont look crazy, so crazy george told him of his story when he lived with his foster parents and he always felt left out so one day he lost it and started screaming and biting people. so all the kids made fun of him and called him crazy George so he decided to run away and to be free from all these people that made fun of him and got on his nerves. So Freddy the star listened and listened and said ur life is just like mine sad and left out so Freddy knew he wasnt the only one that was left out so he continued on his trip until he found this old man and he said hello sir and the old man said well hello little one im Sam the circle. Freddy said Sam i have no where to go and i dont know what to do because i feel left out because all the people in my village think im wierd because they are all triangles and lines and im the only star. Sam said that is not true you are the light and shining star of the village and Freddy said how so. Sam said Freddy havent you noticed you are the light and the one that keeps your village together because with out you christmas would be impossible. Freddy says how so all I am is just a nobody that doesnt fit in and Sam said no you are not because every Christmas there has to be a christmas tree ritght? Freddy says yes and sam says well the christmas tree is formed buy triangles and lines right? Freddy says yes that why im left out im no good. But sam says while the line is at the bottom and the triangle sits on top thats just a tree not a christmas tree do u see Freddy their has to be a star on top of the tree to light up the village and everyones hearts for the true christmas spirit. Freddy says thank you I think I should go back to my village and try. So since Freedy took so long to get to sam he took a long time getting back to tri-line village so he walked and walked and he made it back on Christmas eve. He said mom dad I finally know what im good for and why i belong and they said why? Freddy said because I complete the Christmas tree they said how so, so Freddy jumped up on the very top and the whole village stared in amazment and they all felt the love and some cryed from the beauty of Christmas and from that day on Freddy was the most loved boy in the village and he lived happily and Changed christmas for everyone in their hearts and he knew now what he was ment for.

One day there was a boy who had six things to define. He had to define what a quadrilateral, a parallelogram, a square, a rectangle, a rhombus, and a trapezoid. That boy only had examples of the six shapes also they were label. The first one was a quadrilateral, the man thought a “quad” which is a four so it must mean four sided figure. Then he thought to himself that a parallelogram must be “parallel” which has to be that both sides are parallel like in the picture. Then he had a square which has to be that a square is four sided figure that all sides are congruent and that angles are 90 degrees like then picture shows. Then he saw a rectangle which was really was easy for him since it looked like half of what a square looked liked so he copied from his definition of a square that a rectangle is a shape that the angles form 90 degrees. Then there was a rhombus which was also easy for him to define because it was the other half of a square which he copied the half of the definition which was that a rhombus was four sided figure that were congruent to each other. Finally he came upon a trapezoid which was that one side was parallel. Then he gave his quiz in then after to days he got his back and got a 100%.

open to criticism, but give me a break, i tried xD

Now this is the story all about how,
My life got flipped, turned upside down,
And I’d like to take a minute, just sit right there,
I’ll tell you how Geometry has a prince called Square.

In the Quadrilateral Family, born and raised
on those Math Books is where I spent most of my days.
Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool,
And all making them problems for the people at school,

When a couple of guys who were up to no good,
Started making trouble in my neighborhood.
They asked if I Square and I got scared,
So I told them about my right angles and now they paired.

I went on about my lines, and how they went on all day
I told them that they were parallel both ways
I explained about my angles, and how they’re all right
But they looked at me all dumb, and said “alright?”
.
Well, I whistled for a bisector, and when it came near,
they intersected the square, and I had now I had a midpoint in the rear.
I wanted to say more, because they knew I was rare,
But I thought nah, forget it, I won’t go there.

I got them to get that I have four even sides,
I got taught them about my right angles here, my right angles there,
so I yelled to the guys "Yo homes, I’M A SQUARE".
Looked at my kingdom, I was finally there,
To fill my throne as the prince of the Squares.

(ms. tan, if you never watch fresh prince, watch this video.. i revised my "poem" from this)

once a upon a time in land of squares and lines.
there was an acute angle named alex and he was well cute and he was going out to find some 180 agree angles because they were very straight_______ like that.

he was on his search for this 180 degree angle. while going throught the trouble of degress and angle which messed him up on find his 180degree angle. he was very tired soo he got help for something half of a 180 degree angle and her name was cassie she was a 90 degree angle they started to talk about different stuff like parallel lines and proofs and theoroms and how sweeeeeet they were.

he really started to like her, but he still wanted to have the straightest angle. soo he had to say goodbye to the 90 and he was very sad.he stil continued his search til it was dark. then he finally found the 180 degree angle and her name was dora, and she was wonderful the best thing in the world but he also like cassie. only if he could have both of them that would be the best.all of sudden the angle bisctor came and split the 180 angle into both 90 degree angles and soo now he had to angles both 90 and that equals 180. he was soo happy after that , he married them both . he had the wonderful angle and the hottie angle.

they lived happily ever after theee end :)

School is fun, and school is cool,
And if you don’t like education,
Then you’re obviously a fool.
Each day is exciting, and each day is new.
Everyday your teachers always give you something to do.
Yet there is one subject that never ends,
And it’s almost as endless as anyone’s list of friends.
This subject is math, and it is actually really fun,
First you start off simple, starting from step one.
One of the most interesting types is a math called geometry.
However, it isn’t as easy as counting one, two, three.
When you first hear the word geometry,
A person usually thinks of triangles and squares,
But there is more to this subject that people aren’t aware.
You learn about points, lines, and planes,
But it’s fairly easy to grasp the concepts and put them into your brain.
In geometry you have to remember dozens of theorems and definitions,
And it really isn’t as easy as learning addition.
Still it gets more difficult once you reach proofs,
And after attempting one for the first time,
you may feel like you want to ‘Poof!’
Yet geometry is still filled with loads of fun,
And there’s more to say even though we’ve just begun.
But to sum it all up into something nice and short,
Geometry is awesome, and it isn’t as complicated as learning a new sport.
With angles, volumes, quadrilaterals, and lines,
Geometry is fun and easy to learn if you just take your time.
